Externship Opportunites:

Upper Charles Animal Hospital is dedicated to staying at the cutting edge of veterinary medicine and fostering an environment of education and higher learning. In that spirit, the clinic welcomes veterinary and veterinary technician student applicants for our Externship Program. This program provides students in the latter part of their training the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in primary care practice. Students receive hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. They will focus on developing skills in diagnostic and radiograph interpretation, diagnosing conditions, creating treatment plans, point-of-care ultrasound, communication, and more. Students will have the opportunity to hone their diagnostic and physical exam skills, along with gaining experience in technical procedures and surgery.
